The program is from Monday to Friday.
On Monday morning you can check in at the Intell Hotel Rotterdam Centre****, Leuvehaven 80 in Rotterdam and settle into your room. If you are coming from far away, you can of course arrive on Sunday*. If you are coming from far away, you can of course arrive on Sunday*.
At 9.30 am you are expected in the central hall of the hotel, where one of our language trainers will pick you up. Together we walk to our training center where we get to know each other over a cup of coffee or tea. At 10.30 am your first lesson begins.
*For arrival on Sunday there will be an additional cost for the hotel room and breakfast.
- The Week
The teaching days are from 8.45 in the morning until 21.30 in the evening. On Friday the training ends with a festive closure at 4.30 pm.
Every day you will have 4 group lessons and 2 private lessons. In addition, we organize workshops and you have time to study. There is always a trainer with you to help you.
From 8 am there is a trainer at breakfast. From 8.45 am to 9.30 pm we offer you a varied program of 8 teaching activities per day and 2 study periods of 45 minutes. After lunch (from 12:45 pm to 1:30 pm), a 30-minute break is provided.
- Example of a day
After a good night, you get up on time and start the day with a run through The Park near the hotel. After a shower you have breakfast at 8 am where your colleagues and trainer are already present. Together you walk to the institute at 8.30 am where you have some time for a cup of coffee.
At 8.45 am the lesson begins and you start your day together with 2 colleagues who, like you, have already followed Dutch lessons. You present professional projects to each other and the trainer gives good feedback, points out some issues and teaches you interesting words and expressions. You and your colleagues have some time for a cup of coffee and during the break you talk to a colleague who has not yet had much experience with Dutch.
After coffee break, you watch a video with the trainer and have a debate with your colleagues, after which you again receive tips and learn practical words. After this intensive lesson, you will have some time to study.
At 12:45 it is time for lunch, together with your colleagues and a trainer After lunch you will go outside for a walk along the harbor.
At 2 pm your private lesson begins. Today the program includes a performance appraisal and role play with your trainer. You will learn many new words and you will practice sentences that you can use right away, great!
After the private lesson you have another break, then today there is a workshop on Dutch pronunciation and you have time to study and prepare your presentation for tomorrow.
In the evening at 6 p.m. you watch the news with your colleagues and a trainer and then you have dinner together in a nearby restaurant. You order in Dutch, works out well! After dinner you go back to LINCO to do a fun quiz. At 9:30pm you and your colleagues walk back to the hotel for a good night’s sleep so you can get back to work the next day fresh and rested!
